The beauty of SF/Fantasy writing is you can make up scenarios for interesting military equipment that didn’t happen to get much use. E.g. the Boeing P-12. Wonderful aircraft, but unfortunatly (for it’s reputation) no big war broke out in 1930. They didn’t even send it against King Kong. We can fix that with some SF/Fantasy writing. Just need a good opponent.

Curious, unrelated question: what did you use to make the map in your banner? Some kind of DnD map generator?
I used Campaign Cartographer 3. You can see the full map on the website http://www.talesoftiberius.com click on “map of the boarderlands” I credit them on the links page, but I think it’s http://www.profantasy.com. It’s a bit tricky to use but you can make some really nice maps with it.
